singer/songwriter charlton hill likes to experiment - with his clothes and his music, as he tells fashion writer josephine agostino.
what you see is what you get with sydney-based musician charlton hill.
"what i wear every day is what i wear performing live," the laid-back artist says.
while the rising star says fashion is not a focus for him like many others in the record industry, he likes "having fun with it", as with his music styles.
"i'm experimental with fashion but it's got to be easy," he says. "it has to feel good.
"it's the same with music. i have acoustic roots but i'm not afraid to rock out and i'm comfortable having melodies-based songs."
fans can expect to see hill when he returns for a tour later this year in a comfy pair of jeans - his favourite piece of clothing.
"i don't intend to follow trends, i just go with what feels comfortable," he says.
